Mason Bishop

Here is a brief recap of the conversation with Mason Bishop from the American Enterprise Institute on "US Workforce, the Policy and the Politics as we head into an Election"

Mason's work is focused on studies of federal employment and training programs, vocational rehabilitation, & workforce planning. He served as deputy assistant secretary for employment and training at the US Department of Labor within the George W. Bush administration.

Mason's talk was insightful and he really struck a chord with the Farmers on the call when he spoke about how Republicans have an opportunity to own work and education, saying:

"We have created a system of middle-class entitlement programs [...], people who have been left behind by globalization [...], [and] for years we ceded that territory to the Democrats when it comes to employment policy, job training, and education at the post-secondary level."
