Story
Leadership has been integral to the growth and evolution of the United States.
​
Civic organizations and engaged citizens have driven expansion and innovation. However, since the 1970s, the association of these leaders and their impact on civic engagement has declined, leading to lost opportunities and camaraderie.
​
Our state has been adversely affected by self-interest and a lack of response.
A rebirth of the Citizen Farmer is needed to counter these challenges.

Why the name
"Citizen Farmers?"
Although some members are farmers by profession, we are not a farming group in that sense....
Firstly, our society craves the infusion of the Citizen Farmer spirit. There was a time when our most successful and inspiring citizens took an active role in our politics. Entrepreneurs built and then served and then returned to building again. They were truly Citizen Farmers. This spirit of civic engagement requires renewal.
Secondly, specific to our state, we need an organizing vehicle through which to support other efforts to cultivate more liberty-loving citizens and their engagement in turning around our state. We aspire to cultivate engaged citizens to turn around our state—literally becoming farmers of citizens.
